From 29th September 2020 ongoing, you will be unable to cash in, cash out or send/receive payments on Chipper if your account is not verified.

How do I submit my documents for account verification?
To submit your ID to verify your account, click on the “Profile” tab of your app and then on “Get Verified” to begin the verification process.
Please be prepared to take a video selfie and a photo of your ID to confirm your identity (Nigerian accounts submit a valid BVN instead of a photo of their ID)

How long does it take to verify my account?
Once you submit your documents, they will be reviewed within 1 to 2 days (this process is instant for Nigerian accounts).
If your submission is approved, the status of your verification on the “Profile” page of your app will be updated to “Approved” meaning your account verified
If your submission is rejected, you will receive a notification as to why it was rejected. Please scroll down to the bottom of the “Profile” page of your app to re-submit your documents
As a Chipper user, you can buy airtime for yourself or for a friend or loved one in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, South Africa, or Nigeria via the Chipper app
How do You Buy Airtime?
They offer airtime purchases at an up to 2% DISCOUNT!
i.e. You pay up to 2% less than the actual airtime amount you receive!
To buy airtime:
- Go to the “Profile” tab
- Click “Buy Airtime”
- Enter the phone number you want to buy airtime for (Our operation systems automatically detect the network where applicable)
- Select the amount of airtime you want to buy
- The phone number receives the airtime.
